Jn 3:13-17

Moses raised the bronze serpent on a pole in the desert as a means of saving the people. Jesus is elevated, raised up on the cross, a sign of God’s love for his people and the means of the world’s salvation.

“We adore you O Christ and we bless you because by your holy cross you saved the world.” (St. Francis)
