Mt 14:22-33

Jesus demonstrates his command over the powerful waters for a second time. He offers the same power to Peter who attempts to walk but fails. His love of the Lord is not enough to overcome his weak faith, but he is a work in progress.

I know you love me in spite or maybe because of my faltering attempts. I too am a work in progress, and I find consolation and hope in those who ultimately succeed.
