As the new school year starts, a new year of EDGE has too! EDGE is Santa Maria's youth ministry for 6th, 7th, & 8th graders. EDGE was designed for our youth who are on the "EDGE" of high school teen life and elementary childhood. We focus on the social teachings of the church, history and daily life of being a Catholic as a middle schooler. Each year we assist with the fiesta float, host a Posadas, and stuff Easter Eggs for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at church.

Our sessions are broken into 2 weeks of church teachings, 1 week of teen issues and lastly a social night of fun activities whic rotate each month. EDGE also have one overnight retreat in December. This year, two overnight "shut-ins" are also scheduled.

The success of this program, in its fourth year now, is dependant of the participation of our youth. We welcome all middle schoolers, EDGE is open to everyone in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Consider sending your middle schooler this year!
