Religious Education encompasses the faith formation of our entire parish community. Our children learn and grow in their faith, and adults endeavor to continue in this learning process throughout their lives.

Family Sundays Schedule

Youth & Children's Faith Formation

Our Religious Education Program for children at Santa Maria de la Paz is maintained by our Director of Religious Education, Mrs. Patricia Lopez. There are a number of schedules available (see below), with some beginning as early as August.

Schedule A - Sunday 10:45 am to 11:45 am
Schedule B - Sunday 8:30 am to 9:30 am
Schedule D - August only from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Adult Enrichment Sessions are offered weekly, at the same time children are in class. We recognize that our children are not isolated in religious education, we as adults are also continuing to learn about our faith. Topics vary but include parenting sessions, scripture, health issues and cultural enrichment.
All of these tracks are offered in conjunction with one of our weekend liturgies so that families may come to class and then immediately follow with Mass.

Vacation Bible School - VBS is a weeklong program of fun including music, scripture, drama, craft and games. Usually held in mid to late June. Registration takes place in May. The fun starts at 8:30 am and ends at noon.

Storytelling - Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered at the 9:30 am and 11:30 am Masses on a scheduling basis beginning in October and continuing until June.

Adult Bible Study

In an effort to provide our adults with an opportunity to further explore our faith, Santa Maria offers Adult Bible Study in the fall and winter on Tuesday evenings. Contact the parish office for more information on this program.
